Thank you for your interest in Seton Catholic School. We are blessed to have the opportunity to get to know your family and to educate your child in a faith-based Catholic environment. Seton believes in exposing our students to a variety of learning situations and subject areas. In addition to traditional subjects, all students explore art, religion, technology, music, physical education and library. Seton, as a part of the Diocese of Rochester, is Middle States accredited. This accreditation means, that we accept the responsibility for the level of academic performance our students have and are committed to the continuous improvement in our students learning.
Often, parents ask what makes Seton Catholic School different from other Catholic schools. Three points instantly come to mind. First, Seton feels like family. It is rare to have such a tight knit school community. A former Seton parent said it best, “There are no strangers at Seton; Just people waiting to be your friend.” Second, Seton has the most dedicated parent volunteers. We could not do half the things we do without their help. From organizing our big functions like the Seton Marathon and B.L.A.S.T., to being lunch monitors, mystery readers and helpers for classroom centers or Library, parent volunteers really do make the difference. Third, is the variety of afterschool extracurricular activities we offer our students. Such activities include theater productions, Spanish language classes, running club, fencing, chess and our school newspaper, The Seton Scoop. With such an assortment of programs, our students have the opportunity to become more well-rounded, cultured members of society.
