Note from the Principal 10/17/19

Thursday October 17

Note from the Principal 10/17/19

The weatherperson was absolutely correct! Thursday, October 10th turned into a glorious autumn day for our school Marathon! Our prayer service, led by our 6th graders was just perfect. We cheered and danced and prayed together as a community right out on the basketball court. Thanks again to Christina Wesley Thrall, Sheila Campolieto, Karen Benacci, and the many parents who volunteered to make this event a huge success. A special thank you to Karen Williams for acting as our DJ! Thanks to all; whether you sent in snacks, stood on a corner, dressed as dinosaurs or walked with our kids. We are grateful for every one of you! Children have received their casual dress passes for selling sponsorship. Thank you children!

Thank you also for continuing to be the most generous people I know! If you haven’t had a chance to send their pledges back in, please do so as soon as possible. Hopefully, we will have a final total next newsletter!

Susanne Mayausky has done a great job organizing the program but still needs your help! Please call the office, speak with Susanne ([email protected]) or visit our sign-up genius to see what is still available or to put your name on a substitute list.

Our library is alive and well! Ms. Snyder is still looking for volunteers to help out. If you would like to come in and lend a hand, contact Ms. Karen Snyder at [email protected]. You can never have too many helpers when it comes to taking out books! Class library times are included in this envelope.

Mark your calendars! Our Fall social will be held on Friday, November 15 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Midtown. There’s more information included in this Brown/Green envelope!

I’m happy to say that our 6th graders retreat has begun today and is sure to be a success! Their focus is on “Service”! We will be continuing to work as a school to find ways to serve others as the Saints before us have done. We will give you more information soon!

This year our Grandparents/Special Friends’ Day will be held Friday November 8th at 12:30 in the church. We are looking forward to showing our grandparents & special friends how much we love them and showing off our school to them! Information can be found in this brown envelope or on-line in the Green Envelope.

We will also have our Barnes & Noble book Fair on Friday, November 8th following Grandparents/Special Friends Day. Please see the flyer included in this brown envelope for more information.

We received the very sad news that Mr. Dick Kuhn passed away after a short illness on Thursday, October 10th. Mr. Kuhn was a treasure to our school. He worked here as our maintenance person for many years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
