A Note From the Principal 2/11/22
Catholic Schools Week ended with a bang! Every day was filled with fun and a sense of community! From the beginning with mass on Sunday to Friday, every day was memorable! Thank you to everyone who supported us all week by sending in popcorn, bagels, juices etc. And thank you to the PTA and Karen Benacci for providing ice creams sundae supplies. Because of your dedication, everything turned out beautifully. We are all very grateful. This past week was one of the best ever! Check out our Instagram or Facebook page to see what we did every day!

Next week we celebrate the Valentine’s Day and 100th Day! As we celebrate two favorite holidays, we will take a bit of time to thank God for all he has given to us. The following week is winter break and everyone is excitedly awaiting our time off!
TELEVISED MASS
Liam Broshears, Gabby Wilson, Aylon Sellers, and Jane Topa were featured readers for the televised Sunday Mass with Fr. Moll on News 10 WHEC. The mass was broadcast on Sunday January 30th at 5:30 am.
FOOD DRIVE SUCCESS!
Thank you all for participating and helping to teach your children how special it is to give to others in need. What an incredible way to celebrate Catholic Schools Week! The total number of food items collected was 1,102 and the total in cash and gift cards was $450.00! The generosity of our Seton community is amazing!
WILMOT CANCER CENTER FUNDRAISER
Some of our 6th graders made bracelets, necklaces, and stickers as a fundraiser for the Wilmot Cancer Center. Jane Topa and Frankie Reiss, with the help of some of their 6th grade friends, organized the sale and what a success it was! The items sold from a range of $1.00 – $3.00 and in just a matter of one week they raised $582.60! All proceeds will be sent to Wilmot Cancer Center. Great job!

SETON GIRLS 5TH/6TH GRADECYO BASKETBALL TEAM SCORE FOR HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHACHACHA
We give a SHOUT OUT to the Seton girls’ basketball team for their fundraising event for the Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha organization! Lindy Hilbert and her dad, Jim, wanted to do a team fundraiser and chose this group. It is an organization in Rochester that provides gift bags to kids in poverty on their birthday. The bags are filled with a few necessities and “treats” and delivered to schools in Rochester, Rome, and Buffalo. The organization recently celebrated their 5th anniversary and noted they have grown from helping about 130 kids that first year to now over 3,000 kids!
The team started collecting donations in mid-January and just finished. They donated a large bin filled with several items such as underwear, socks, food items, toiletries, books, and small toys. In addition, they raised $150.00! Great job Elizabeth Elias, Lulu Frey, Riley Hawes, Lindy Hilbert, Frankie Reiss, Jane Topa, and Viola Walsh! Thank you to all that donated! If you are interested in learning more about this organization or donating directly to them please see the link below. https://happybirthdaychachacha.org/about-us

2022-2023 AUTO REGISTRATION
Automatic Registration forms were sent home in January with the youngest sibling in the family. If you need another form there is an attachment below and you can find one on our website: https://www.setoncs.org/admissions/?modallink=https://www.setoncs.org/registration-forms/
If you are not returning, it must be communicated in writing to both the school and business offices by February 25th to avoid being assessed the non-refundable registration fee. Email can be used: [email protected] & [email protected]
Returning families must complete and submit their form for accounting purposes. If not retuned, the payment plan option defaults to Annual Payment with full tuition payment due on August 1st.
If we do not receive your registration form or the required written notification to withdraw by February 25th, we will assume you are returning, and your child(ren) will be reenrolled for the 2022-23 school year. You will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of $150 on or around March 15th through your FACTS account. Do not send in a registration fee check.
FORMER SETON STUDENT CHRISTOPHER LILLIS WINS GOLD
For the first time since 1998 in freestyle skiing, the USA has won gold in the Olympics’ first mixed team aerials event! Helping to bring home the gold is our very own former Seton student, Christopher Lilllis. He was given the highest score of any trick in the finals with his back double fullfull-double full. With his teammates Ashley Caldwell and Justin Schoenefeld, the trio beat out China for the gold. Chris Lillis competes again in the men’s aerials next week! Congratulations Chris and Lillis family!
FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Thank you to all that have had their children vaccinated! We are on our way to meeting our 100% Covid-19 vaccination goal for our student community! If you have not yet scheduled your child for their first shot, we encourage you to do so. Understandably as a parent you may have concerns and questions and it is difficult to find legitimate answers with so much misinformation at our fingertips. We urge you to contact your pediatrician to help you with any apprehension you may have. If your child has their first dose, don’t forget to follow up for their second one.
IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
We are auditing our files for immunization status using the NYS Immunization Information System. If your child is not up to date with their immunizations, you will receive an email from our health office. Your child is required by NYS Public Health Law, Section 2164, to provide a certificate of immunization from a physician that proves your child has all the required immunizations for his/her age or that the child is in the process of receiving the required immunizations. Your child will not be permitted to attend school without the necessary certification. No religious exceptions, only medical exemption allowed.
CONSENT FOR STUDENT COVID-19 RAPID TESTING
If you have not done so already, please click the link below to give permission for your child(ren) to be tested for Covid-19 at school by our nurses. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=6kx4- Nx9wkuTitcb1bSeOgxkd4MgiGtIu8ceGTcLRgJUM1pVUEkxTDhGSU cwQk1FOFZUQUNZWlJXNy4u
SENDING COVID-19 TESTING KITS HOME
For the third time this year we will be sending test kits home! We can send one test kit home per student and will send them with the oldest sibling. To streamline the process of giving them to families that request them, the office will be sending out an email with a link to a simple and quick google forms survey asking if you would like one sent home with your child. As with the Christmas break, the intention is to test your child(ren) when winter break is over before sending them back to school on February 28th

SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION FORMS 2022-2023
New York State Education Law states that requests for transportation to non-public schools must be submitted by April 1st. Transportation is provided for grades K-12 and every district has eligibility requirements. Each district handles their requests for transportation differently. Your child must be registered in the district you reside, and a transportation form is required every year. Some districts mail the transportation form, others email, and a few will require you to print it from their website. If you are unsure what your district does you can call or find information on their website. Districts will not guarantee transportation for your child if the form is not turned in by April 1st.
