A Note From the Principal 12/ 19/2019
Here we are! Only 1 more school day until Christmas break! 2019 has flown by and 2020 promises to be just as busy and fun! I hope that everyone finds time to relax within the 16 day Christmas break, (beginning Saturday Dec. 21) and that all are able to spend plenty of time with the ones you love. I know the children are very excited and on their best behavior (as always) so they end up on Santa’s “Nice” list!
In every room I visit, there are signs of the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of Baby Jesus is much anticipated and the story is repeated on a daily basis here at Seton Catholic School through prayers, pictures, music and storytelling. How fortunate we are to share our faith freely, without restriction, in this wonderful learning environment.
Our school has been very busy celebrating this season! Last Thursday, our K-3rd graders helped us celebrate the Christmas season with our Christmas Concert! The Festival of Trees, a 2nd grade tradition took place on Friday, Dec. 13th and the Kindergarten’s prayer service was quite delightful last Wednesday. Our Glee Club performed their show and the announcement was made that this year’s play production will be “Frozen”!!!
Yesterday, Preschool had their prayer service with their families and last night the Primary Theater Arts Club presented “Littlest Christmas Tree” at 7:00. Tomorrow morning at 9:00, 1st grade will lead our Christmas prayer service complete with Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus! This will be followed by our annual Christmas sing-along in the gym!
Every one of these events was undertaken by your children in the spirit of the season; with kindness and patience for themselves and others! They are the true embodiment of living the life of Christ.
Please remember that beginning Saturday, we are on Christmas break and we do not return to school until Monday January 6th!
When we return, we will begin offering the Soccer Shots program to your youngest students ages 3-7. Please see the attached flyer for more information on registration.
Finally, thank you to our 3rd and 4th grade families and everyone else involved, who provided our staff with our annual Christmas luncheon! The staff was so grateful for all you did for them.
On behalf of everyone here at Seton, I want to wish all of you a happy and blessed Christmas break! While we are all away from each other, we will be praying for all of you and look forward to seeing your children next year!
