Note from the Principal
Happy Halloween! Today students were allowed to dress down for the occasion. Thank you to all our
volunteers who organized parties and provided Halloween treats! The whole day was filled with fun! Please have a fun, safe evening.
Red Ribbon week has been a great time! Our 6th grade leaders planned daily events for the whole school centering around the idea of living healthy lifestyles. The door competition has been intense. Every classroom has done an outstanding job and should be proud of their creations. We will find out the winners tomorrow!
Bravo to all!
FALL OPEN HOUSE
Help wanted: Next Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 5 & 6, from 9:00-1:00, we will be welcoming perspective families into our building to check us out! If you are available during those times to give the parent point of view, please let Karen J. know.
Also, please help us spread the word and let your neighbors and family know how much you love our school. Included in your Brown Envelope is a Seton Postcard. If every family could give their postcard to a neighbor, a family member, or a coworker, we’d be very appreciative! Also consider sharing the Open House as an event on Facebook. Tell everyone you know that you belong to the Seton family!
FAITH THROUGH SPORTS
Tuesday, Oct. 29th, many of our children were honored with the Faith through Sports Award!

* Consistently demonstrate Catholic values
* Exhibit Christian behavior by word and example
* Demonstrate the qualities of a team player
* Work towards both team and personal goals
* Are a positive role model to their team mates
* Honors the game through respect for team, opponents and officials.
This year’s soccer honorees are:
- Joe DiMarco
- Blaise Weidmann
- Sienna Fallone
- Julia Milano
OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE PERMISSION
Nurse Ann asks that every family fill out a permission slip designating which over the counter medications she is allowed to give to your child(ren). Each of your children, who are enrolled at our school, need their own slip. A complete list of medications is on the attached form. In the event of Nurse Ann giving your child an approved medication, she will notify you. If you have not yet returned this permission slip, please do so ASAP. https://www.setoncs.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/OTC-permission.pdf
A SAD GOOD BYE AND A HAPPY HELLO!
Today is Mrs. Clark’s last day as our kindergarten teacher. We wish her well in all she does and thank her for the time and energy she gave to our children. Mrs. Kathy Tatelbaum has been with Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Walsh and our kindergarteners for the last few days. Tomorrow she will take over as our kindergarten teacher! Thank you Mrs. Tatelbaum for joining our Seton family!
STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
At our last Prayer Service we honored two students who exemplify what it is to be a Seton student! Both were nominated for their kindness and compassion to their fellow students! If you see Josie Fleming or MacKenzie Brock, please give them a high five!
Congratulations Josie and MacKenzie!
Our next Students of the Month will be awarded at our next prayer Service.
ALL SAINTS DAY MASS
All Saints Day Mass will be held tomorrow morning at OLOL at 8:30 am. Our 4th graders will lead us. Following mass, our 6th graders will present their Saints projects. Please join us! Having you with us for mass is always a treat!
G R A N D P A R E N T S / S P E C I A L F R I E N D S DAY
This year’s Grandparents/Special Friend Day will be next Friday November 8th at 12:30 in the church. We are looking forward to showing our grandparents and special friends how much we love them! Please RSVP if you have not yet done so.
Followed the prayer service, we will treat our guests to a social in our school. Consider sending in cookies, or juice to make this event even more special. There is a flyer in the Brown/Green envelope detailing our needs.
BARNES AND NOBLE BOOK FAIR
This year we will have our Barnes & Noble book Fair on Friday, November 8th following
Grandparents/Special Friends Day. This flyer is also in the Brown/Green envelope.
PARISH LIAISONS NEEDED
We are looking to strengthen our ties and build our relationships with our local parishes. Our goal is to have 2-3 parents from each parish, who can communicate our mission and keep the parishes up-dated on activities happening here at Seton. This is a low commitment volunteer opportunity. If you are interested in working to build these ties with your church, please email Mrs. Selig. [email protected]
R U N C L U B
Last Tuesday was the Running Club’s last day. It was wonderful and fun-filled with the culminating Pizza Party. A special thank you to Shannon Hansford and Nicole Benoit and all of our outstanding parent volunteers who organized and ran with our children!
F A L L S O C I A L
Mark your calendars! Our Fall social will be held on Friday, Nov, 15th from 6:00-9:00 pm at Midtown. Come out and meet Seton’s new families, reconnect with returning families, and support the BLAST all in one night! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and a cash bar. This year PTA is funding this event.
We ask that you bring a restaurant gift card, an Amazon Gift Card, or a cash donation to support our school’s largest fundraiser, BLAST. See you then!
6TH GRADE RETREAT
Once again, our 6th grade retreat was a resounding success! Our school leaders enjoyed their time away from the business of school and grew together as a leadership team! We returned back to school to a surprise “hero’s welcome”! Our 5th graders made banners and were joined by the 3rd & 4th grades to make the return very special. If you see any of the 6th graders, ask them about their activities! I look forward to providing these same experiences for next year’s 6th graders!
